Jesus, it's so hard to get up for work after having a day off, for whatever reason.
Definitely time to jump ship but it's so convenient. The gym is here, Southbank in all its finery is here and I'm a five minute walk from Active Stride!
Starting to get some nerves about Saturday's race. I use the term 'race' in its loosest sense mind you, I won't be racing anyone but myself. I'm actually nervous about being able to finish it which is a feeling I haven't felt about a race since my first ultra back in May 2007. How times change.
When I did my first hundred mile run (note the absence of the word 'race') in 2008, I was quite deflated and I came to the conclusion that it was because I hadn't enjoyed it enough. The focus was about control and finsishing well and I didn't savour it. Well, I've set myself up to spend plenty of time out there this time so the issue shouldn't raise its head.
Very large field this year with a lot of first timers. Should be interesting to say the least
